The fine print, kept short.

1. What DiceDay is

DiceDay is a calm, playful iOS to-do app that removes the friction of deciding what to do next. You add tasks to a pile; instead of choosing, you roll a die and DiceDay picks one small thing; then you do it in a full-screen, zone-themed focus room. Your progress is a journey across themed zones.

DiceDay is a tool to help you get started — not a guarantee of productivity. It is deliberately calm: there are no streaks, no scores, no penalties, and no comparison features.

2. Using the app

• There is no account and no sign-up. You don’t register; you just open the app and use it.
• You need a compatible device — iPhone running iOS 18 or later. DiceDay also includes a Home Screen widget, a Live Activity, and an Apple Watch app, and syncs via iCloud if you’re signed in.
• You are responsible for your own device, your iCloud account, and keeping your operating system up to date.

3. Your content & data

• The tasks and progress you create are yours. They are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account.
• We claim no license to your tasks. We do not use them for marketing, for training AI models, or for any other purpose. We never see them.
• You are responsible for your own data. Because DiceDay is local-first and we keep no server copy, we cannot recover your data if you delete the app and have iCloud sync turned off. See the Privacy Policy for the full data architecture.

4. Calm by design (what we left out on purpose)

DiceDay’s design is deliberately anti-overwhelm. The following are intentional, not missing features:

• No streaks — there is nothing to “break,” and no penalty for a day off.
• No scores or points — DiceDay never grades you.
• No leaderboards or comparison — your journey is yours alone.
• No guilt mechanics — DiceDay will not nag you into feeling behind.

We won’t add features that violate these principles, even when requested. The goal is simply to help you start — starting is the win.

5. DiceDay Pro & Focus Lock

DiceDay is free to use, and the free tier is fully usable. DiceDay Pro is an optional upgrade whose headline feature is Focus Lock: once you commit to a task, there’s no casual backing out — you finish it, or you hold-to-give-up. It’s a gentle commitment device for people who tend to bail. Buying Pro also helps support an indie developer.

6. Payments, renewals & refunds

• DiceDay Pro is offered via Apple StoreKit. We do not see your payment method. Apple handles billing, renewals, the free trial, and refunds.
• Pricing: $2.99 / month, $14.99 / year (with a 7-day free trial), or $29.99 lifetime (a one-time purchase). Prices are shown in your local currency at parity. The lifetime option grants Pro permanently for your Apple ID.
• Auto-renewal — monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds for unused time.
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their policy: reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
• Restore & Family Sharing — “Restore Purchases” brings back any prior entitlement attached to your Apple ID. Family Sharing is on.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app, the CloudKit container, or the StoreKit configuration.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable law.
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the app’s normal operation, or circumvent purchase/entitlement checks.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the app or its assets.

8. Disclaimers & liability

DiceDay is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it stable and calm, but we make no promises about:

• iCloud sync availability or speed. Sync depends on Apple’s infrastructure and your connectivity.
• Productivity outcomes. DiceDay is a tool, not a guarantee. We do not promise that you will finish more, feel less overwhelmed, or change any habit.
• Backup. Your data lives on your device and in your iCloud; we keep no separate backup we can restore from.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codeful is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you have paid for DiceDay Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free users, is zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You can stop using DiceDay and delete it at any time. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; you can also remove the iCloud copy from iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage. Because there is no account, there is nothing for us to close on our side.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be heard in the competent courts of Gyeonggi-do, Korea, except where consumer-protection laws of your country require otherwise (in which case those local laws and courts apply for the parts of the dispute they cover).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date and surfaced in the app where appropriate. Continued use of DiceDay after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
